Community Guidelines

Yappit is a place to share what you feel with your campus or workplace community. To keep it safe for everyone, these rules apply to every Yap, comment, vote, group, and message.

What's not allowed

• No bullying or harassment
• No hate speech
• No threats or violence
• No doxxing or sharing private information
• No naming private people for attacks
• No sexual harassment
• No fake rumors targeting real people
• No illegal activity
• No spam
• No encouragement of self-harm

Help keep Yappit safe

• Report harmful content using the report option on any Yap or message.
• Do not use anonymity to target a person. Being unnamed does not make a post about someone acceptable.

Enforcement

These rules are enforced by automated moderation systems plus human review:

• Pre-publish screening. Every yap, comment, and image is automatically analyzed before it goes live. Content that names, sexualises, shames, or attacks a specific person — in any language, including romanized Telugu/Hindi/Tamil — is blocked at posting time.
• Reports. Anything that slips through can be reported in one tap. Reported content is reviewed and removed when it breaks these rules; groups can be reported too.
• Escalating consequences. Violations can lead to content removal, account restriction, or a permanent ban — without prior warning for serious harm (threats, sexual content about a person, doxxing, CSAE).
• The law still applies. Where abuse, threats, or illegal activity occur, we may preserve records and cooperate with law-enforcement authorities as required by applicable law. Being anonymous to other users does not place anyone above these rules — or the law.
